I have to admit to wavering between a five and four-star rating. Just a few things kept it from being a 5. We were disappointed in a couple of hotels, particularly the Edgewater, where our room was small and needed an update. And in Nelson, the Rutherford was a bit shabby, for the lack of a better word. Our first activity, the sail around Auckland harbor was a ton of fun, and the captain and crew were great, but the food was not very good, at all. Highlights included our driver from the Auckland Airport, who was extremely knowledgeable about both Islands and was extremely helpful! Picking up our rentals went well! Hotel standouts were the Hokitika Fire Station (so cool!) and, of course, the Fiordland Lodge! The dinner at the latter was great, and the staff was amazing. The helicopter ride was unbelievable and will never be forgotten, and the overnight on Doubtful Sound was also an amazing highlight. Talk about a well-run operation, the ship's operations manager was incredible! Our travel specialist, Harriet, was great to work with, to say the least. She put up with our cancellation of the trip the prior year and set up a great trip for us...this year! We also loved how she handled the issue with the road closing to Milford Sound. We had met two Australian couples at the Dairy Private Hotel (also a great stay and great staff!!!) the night before our scheduled trip to Milford. The next day we bumped into them at breakfast and they were not aware of the road closure and were so thankful that our tour company called us because theirs did not! So, thank you, Harriet!!

We had a fabulous trip ! it was so easy. All our accommodation was great with our favourites being Sea Spray Units Paihia, Marina Park Apartments Whitianga and the Fairways in Kaikoura. The car and the service from Europcar was also easy compared to the service I had experienced in the UK this year. Andrew name the car Doris and enjoyed driving her. I will say one thing the Outlander probably not great for people over 6 ft Jack's head hit the roof in the back and had to put front seat right down. It was ok for us but if you have more that one person over 6ft it might have been different. Absolute favourite place was Kaikoura ! wildlife, mountains with snow, rural. could have stayed another day. Thank you again for making our trip so easy ! Regards The Cameron Family

Lots of standout moments (we found some amazing short hikes to do that got us off the beaten track) and now we have a somewhat shorter list of places that we would love to explore more. We always knew that we would be moving almost daily in order to see and do as much as we did but in retrospect the three nights we had in Rotorua allowed us room to explore the surrounding areas. If we did the trip again, tomorrow, we would pick five or so locations to base ourselves to allow more exploration. Obviously we were disappointed on missing out on some activities due to weather conditions but appreciated the support we received in endeavouring to work out alternatives. Would recommend putting Lake Tekapo on the list of places to stay as it is a beautiful location with lots of things to see and do for those, like us, who love to get out and hike. (The accommodation we had in Lake Tekapo was absolutely brilliant!!!). TranzAlpine train trip was fantastic (recommend you get people seats on the CD (right hand) side if going from Christchurch to Greymouth as the views are better and AB side if going the other way). Shelby was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in the planning and execution of our holiday and we are grateful for the personal contact when our Milford Sound trip was cancelled the night before we were due to go. New Zealand is on the list of places to re-visit in the near future (a trip to Canada is the next holiday adventure for us).

Overall very happy with the tour. The itinerary, the communication was excellent and everything went smoothly. South Island is a magical place with spectacular scenery and we loved it all. Highlights were Mount Cook and Milford Sound. Would recommend the tour and your company to our friends and family. Thank you for such a memorable trip!

It was amazing, the transfers being pre-booked made the world of difference and the drivers were all lovely. The app was extremely easier to use and the hotels were all lovely. Thank you so much!

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. Kayla did a great job of helping us craft our itinerary to suit our time in NZ. The only disappointment was the cancelled half day Christchurch and surrounding areas tour due to lack of interested people.

Despite some extreme weather, our holiday was filled with many highlights but our Mt Cook experience was magical. The accommodation at the Hermitage and the view from our room was amazing. I highly recommend the Glacier Explorer tour, there is nothing else like it ! Having prebooked our accommodation and experiences meant that we had a ready made plan each day - even if it was a just a rest day ! The app gave us great hints and tips of things to see and do along the way. With amazing scenery everywhere you turn, we will definitely be back to experience more.

Have sent a separate thank you email to Sabina Din but just to reiterate here, a brilliant trip to New Zealand organised by Sabina and team, including Laurel Thachuk originally. We had an initial itinerary but the team built that out with great extra suggestions/recommendations. Hire cars, accommodation, meals and activities all worked well, and the app was really helpful.

We loved that everything was organised for us. Takes the stress out so you can enjoy the holiday. There is also ample time to do extras not included in the itinerary. Best of both. Everything went smoothly right to the very end even though the weather didn't. When our cruise was cancelled due to weather at Milford sound Owen had options ready for us to choose from. I would definitely recommend this tour to people who want some structure and flexibility on there tour.
